The Sounders played a strong match against the MLS leaders Houston Dynamo today under a beautiful blue sky in Seattle. Just after the start of the second half, a corner from Ljungberg landed in front of defender Patrick Ianni who made a fantastic bicycle kick for the GWG. I'm really happy for Ianni as he's played well lately in MLS and USOC matches.
Montero (who got his team-leading 9th goal of the season), Jaqua, and Ljungberg played nicely as well. Freddie L. really puts in the effort and plays tough. He's deserves a lot of respect for what he does on the pitch.
I'm also really happy for Brian Schmetzer getting his first MLS victory. He's been a major part of Seattle soccer for close to 20 years.
